As the largest specialist department for knee and hip prostheses as well as complex interventions in Austria, the department in the Speising Orthopedic Hospital was able to be certified as a center of maximum care.
The EndoCert committee guarantees that OA Dr. Delio Peter Pramhas, as senior surgeon, performs knee and hip prostheses in a large number of cases and with controlled quality.
What is EndoCert?
In 2009, the German Society for Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery (DGOOC) with the participation of the German Society for Endoprosthetics (AE) and the Professional Association for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery (BVOU) formed a working group of experts based on the latest scientific findings which lead to an improvement in the quality of care and an increase in patient safety when implanting endoprostheses (artificial joint replacements). Since 2012, numerous certifications have been carried out in suitable specialist departments in Germany and Austria.
